On-site training (we provide)
Every major-class machine sale (40+ tonne) from Suriname Excavators includes one week of on-site operator training at the buyer's project site in Aruba. Mid-class sales (20-40t) include three days of on-site training. Mini-class sales include a half-day handover orientation.
Training covers:
- Safe pre-shift inspection routine
- Cab familiarisation and control proficiency
- Basic and advanced digging techniques
- Attachment swap procedures (if quick coupler equipped)
- Fault recognition and reporting
- Daily fluid checks and grease points
- Operational efficiency techniques
Manufacturer-certified programmes
Several brands operate dedicated training facilities accessible to Aruba buyers via their dealer networks:
- Caterpillar Training Institute — global accreditation
- Komatsu Operating Mastery — telematics-driven training
- JCB Operator Training — backhoe-loader specialty
- Volvo Operators School — fuel-efficiency focus
Aruba certification routes
In Aruba, operator certification follows Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) frameworks where applicable. We can connect buyers with recognised training providers.
Why training matters financially
We've measured 20-40% productivity differences between trained and self-taught operators on identical machines across our service area. On a $80/hour operating-cost machine running 2,000 hours/year, that's $32,000-64,000/year of productivity at stake — multiples of typical training cost.
